SEEMAC History
SEEMAC Incorporated is a diversified wood products marketing firm serving the industrial and building materials markets. Founded in 1952 by Bob Seeburger, the company was originally known as the R.F. Seeburger Company. Having worked in manufacturing of furniture for many years, Bob could see the beginning of an evolution on how companies acquired their raw materials. Following his vision he created a company that became a very early form of outsourcing for his manufacturing customers and suppliers.
In 1958 Bob formed an alliance with a Pacific Northwest firm by the name of Tumac Lumber Company. Tumac's CEO, Paul McCracken, and Bob not only became life long friends; they formed a team that would bear their names on a new company that became SEEMAC Incorporated.
In our early years SEEMAC's core product line was hardwood components, which were sold to furniture and kitchen cabinet manufacturers. In the mid 1960's SEEMAC added particleboard to its portfolio. This was followed in the mid 1970's with medium density fiberboard (MDF) being added to a growing product line. Today, SEEMAC's broad spectrum portfolio of wood products include: particleboard, medium density fiberboard, hardboard, thin-high density fiberboard, hardwood components, hardwood lumber, softwood lumber, hardwood plywood, softwood plywood, oriented strand board, laminated panels, fully finished products, mouldings, flooring, and fabricated panels. SEEMAC supply chain partners are located around the world. SEEMAC has offices and inventory sites from coast to coast.
SEEMAC's mission is to be the premier resource of choice for product and service solutions to targeted wood markets. We will utilize innovative marketing, efficient distribution, and global resources in order to deliver measurable value to our customers, our suppliers, and ourselves. Passion and accountability will be the keys to our success.
