SEEMAC Incorporated and Nickander Associates Announce Merger

SEEMAC Incorporated and Nickander Associates have announced a merger of the two companies, effective November 1, 2006. SEEMAC Incorporated, headquartered in Carmel, IN and Nickander Associates, headquartered in Noblesville, IN, are diversified wood products marketing and distribution firms serving the nation's woodworking and building materials markets.

"This merger joins two of the premier independent wood products sales and distribution companies in North America," states Tom R. Kohlmeier, SEEMAC President and Chief Executive Officer. "The joining of these two companies brings significant benefits to both SEEMAC and Nickander customers and makes SEEMAC stronger than ever, increasing our sales, distribution and warehousing capabilities throughout North America."

Dan Nickander, president of Nickander Associates, agrees the merger is a win/win situation for all. "Our company was formed by my father, Gary Nickander, in 1982 and has grown dramatically over the past 25 years. This merger allows us to bring to our customers the benefits of SEEMAC's global supply partners to add to our already strong domestic supply base. Through this merger, we can service our customers with a wider array of products and continue to grow with them."

Gary Nickander, previously Chief Executive Officer of Nickander, will serve on the Board of Directors for SEEMAC Incorporated. Dan Nickander will join Thomas Kohlmeier, Elliott Savage, Mike Finn and Eddie Canter to form the executive management team of SEEMAC.

SEEMAC is dedicated to providing global resources, innovative solutions and passionate service. "While you could say that SEEMAC has had those core competencies and qualities for most of our existence, we continue to evolve as a company," comments Elliott Savage, SEEMAC Executive Vice-President and Chief Operating Officer. "And this merger is a big part of that evolution. We are certainly more of a solutions provider than ever before, and we are becoming more and more global every day. With the Nickander merger, we become a resource to even more markets and key customers across North America."

As SEEMAC strategically approaches business initiatives after the merger, the executive team must incorporate many diverse elements. "Increasing our product offerings, penetrating new markets and new territories, and strategically aligning ourselves with additional global resources will be key elements of SEEMAC's business plan as we move forward," concluded Kohlmeier. "As we merge with Nickander Associates and look towards the future, SEEMAC is better positioned than ever before to serve as a global trading company, adding value to both our suppliers and our customers."
